1.0 INTRODUCTION
An academic course collaboration with Maqasid Institute entitled “7 Long Surahs through the Lens of Maqasid al-Quran”. This course is designed as a structured Qur’anic studies programme that facilitates in-depth engagement with the Sab‘ Tiwāl (the Seven Long Surahs) through the analytical and objectivesbased framework of Maqasid al-Quran. The Qur’an represents the primary source of guidance for individual conduct and societal development. Among its chapters, the Sab‘ Tiwāl stand out for their comprehensive treatment of faith, legislation, ethics, governance, and communal responsibility. However, meaningful engagement with these surahs requires an approach that moves beyond literal interpretation
towards an appreciation of their higher purposes and ethical objectives.

The Huffaz Leadership Program is a structured tarbiyyah and leadership initiative that aims to
nurture Qur’an-guided, ethically grounded, and intellectually capable Huffaz youth. Through
this collaboration with Maqasid Institute, the course seeks to integrate Qur’anic scholarship
with contemporary Maqasid-based analysis, enabling participants to develop a principled,
holistic, and contextually relevant understanding of the Qur’an.
