About MAWAR Week
M.A.W.A.R. Week, which stands for Muslimah Appreciation Week: Awakening and Renewal, is a sisters-only initiative under the Huffaz Leadership Programme (HLP), IIUM. The programme aims to provide a meaningful platform for IIUM female students to strengthen their faith, character, confidence, and sense of sisterhood through a series of activities rooted in Islamic values, resilience, and community building.
Our Subprogrammes
Before the Ring , Prepare the Heartstring Talk
A sharing session that discusses preparation before marriage, focusing on values, self-growth, responsibilities, and understanding marriage from an Islamic perspective.

Soulful Iftar Gathering
A meaningful iftar gathering that brings sisters together in a warm and spiritual environment to strengthen ukhuwwah and gratitude.
Petals of Al-Aqsa
A programme that highlights awareness, love, and concern towards Al-Aqsa and Palestine through knowledge-sharing and reflection.

Run for Palestine
A Muslimah solidarity activity that promotes health, unity, and awareness for Palestine in a supportive sisters-only environment.
A Night for Palestine
The closing ceremony and cultural night featuring meaningful performances, reflections, and expressions of strength, sisterhood, and solidarity.
