Summary of the programme:
On 7 December 2025, the Huffaz Leadership Programme (HLP) successfully organised a programme entitled “Men & Women: Two Worlds, One Mission – Creating Paradise as a Family”. The programme aimed to raise awareness among students and the wider community on the importance of strengthening the family institution as the core foundation in shaping the future excellence of the ummah. Emphasis was placed on cultivating Islamic family values such as sakinah, mawaddah, and rahmah to develop resilient, harmonious, and value-driven families within the Muslim society.
The programme received an encouraging response, with more than 80 participants in attendance, comprising IIUM students, students from other institutions of higher learning, as well as members of the public. An interactive question-and-answer session was conducted, allowing participants to engage directly with the speaker. This session reflected strong interest and enthusiasm among participants to gain deeper insights into the topic discussed.
The programme was closely aligned with the objectives and content of the Family Management (CCFM 2061) course, which focuses on understanding gender roles, strengthening family foundations, and fostering mutual respect between men and women. As the Family Management (CCFM 2061) course is offered as the HLP course for the current semester, participation of HLP students in this programme was compulsory to fulfil course requirements.
Overall, participant feedback was highly positive. Many participants described the programme as informative, engaging, and highly relevant to contemporary family and societal challenges. The speaker’s interactive and relatable delivery enhanced participants’ understanding of gender differences as complementary roles within marriage, effective communication, and preparedness for future family life, including responsibilities and expectations.
In conclusion, the programme successfully achieved its objectives and received strong positive responses from participants. Jazakumullahu khayran.
