Summary of the programme:

The Leadership Exchange with UniSZA and Community Service for Sustainable Environment Programme was successfully held from 1st to 3rd May 2025, with eight HSLP members in attendance. The programme aimed to nurture leadership values, strengthen team spirit, and deepen spiritual reflection through immersive experiences and meaningful engagement beyond the campus setting.

From the first day, participants were welcomed with a heartwarming dinner lovingly prepared by the mother of one of the members as an act of kindness that introduced everyone to the warmth of Terengganu hospitality. The evening continued with preparations for the following day’s program and concluded with a restful night, setting the tone for a reflective and purposeful trip.

The second day began with Qiyamullail and congregational prayers, spiritually grounding the group before heading to a Leadership Exchange Session with UniSZA students. The dialogue explored key topics such as youth activism, and sincerity in service, encouraging critical reflection and sharing.

In the afternoon, participants enjoyed a local delicacy at Nizam Celup Tepung, savoring the crisp flavors of Terengganu cuisine by the sea. Later that day, a serene usrah session at the beach with Prof. Dr. Fadzlin became one of the most impactful moments, discussing the essence of Islamic leadership amidst the calming sounds of nature.

That night, the group bonded further through a joyful team-building session at the homestay, cooking dinner together and engaging in games that fostered connection, trust, and unity as fellow HSLP members.

The final morning took the group to the Terengganu State Museum, where they explored the rich heritage of the state, before making a meaningful last stop at Pasar Payang for souvenirs bringing the journey to a beautiful, heartfelt close.

This trip was more than just a retreat. It was a soul-refreshing journey that strengthened faith, leadership, and friendship. Each moment was a step toward becoming better Muslim leaders, rooted in sincerity, service, and connection.

Special thanks to everyone who contributed, especially Prof. Dr. Fadzlin, as well as all participants who gave their best in making this trip a success. Jazakumullahu khairan kathiran. May Allah reward all of you with immense blessings.
