The Professional Ethics from Islamic Perspective Workshop was held successfully on 25 October 2025 with 50 participants. The programme was designed to nurture future leaders with strong Islamic values and professional ethics. It emphasised the importance of sincerity, integrity, justice, and trustworthiness in leadership. Through interactive discussions and reflections, participants explored how Islamic teachings shape true professionalism and moral conduct. They were also encouraged to apply these ethical principles in their daily lives and leadership roles.
The programme began with an engaging session led by the Head of Huffaz Leadership Programme, who opened the discussion with a reflective question: “Why do ethics begin with the heart?” Participants were invited to consider the inner foundations of ethical behaviour and its connection to spiritual values. The session then focused on key Islamic principles such as Amanah, Ihsan, and Taqwa, supported by relevant Qur’anic verses. Emphasis was also placed on the importance of relying on Allah as the ultimate guide in leadership and decision-making. The speaker elaborated on essential leadership values including responsibility, clarity, and accountability, illustrating how these principles form the basis of ethical and effective leadership.
To enhance engagement, participants took part in group brainstorming activities, exchanging ideas and reflecting collectively on the concepts discussed. After a short break for refreshments and informal networking, the programme continued with a second session focused on Ihsan, sincerity, focus, and attention. Participants engaged in self-assessment exercises, pair discussions, and a role-play activity designed to demonstrate practical applications of the principles learned. The workshop concluded with a Q&A session, where participants raised thoughtful questions and shared personal insights, reflecting their understanding of the importance of spiritual and ethical values in leadership.
Overall, the workshop successfully achieved its objectives and left a positive impact on all attendees.
