Summary of the programme:

The Muttaqin Youth Leaders Series 2 was held successfully on 30 May 2025 with 25 participants. The program aimed to equip students with Islamic leadership qualities based on Quranic and Prophetic values. It offered meaningful discussions and interactive sessions to help participants understand ethical leadership and their roles as future community leaders. Students were encouraged to develop social responsibility and contribute positively with fairness, empathy, and justice.

The program began with a powerful session by an invited speaker who shared deep insights on Islamic leadership, emphasizing values such as integrity, compassion, and responsibility based on the teachings of the Quran. In the first session, the speaker invited participants to reflect and share their thoughts on the following Quranic verse: “˹They are˺ those who, upon committing an evil deed or wronging themselves, remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins—and who forgives sins except Allahand they do not knowingly persist in wrongdoing?” (3:135). Several participants responded with thoughtful and impactful reflections, demonstrating their understanding of repentance, self-awareness, and hope-key components of value-based Islamic leadership. After that, a short break was given for participants to refresh and network informally. The program continued with a second reflection session focused on the next verse: “Their reward is forgiveness from their Lord and Gardens under which rivers flow, staying there forever. How excellent is the reward for those who work ˹righteousness˺!” (3:136). The speaker encouraged participants to think critically about the motivation and divine rewards linked to righteous leadership and how these principles could be applied in daily life and leadership roles. To conclude, the speaker asked participants to share their key takeaways from both reflective sessions. The responses showed a deep understanding and awareness of the importance of spiritual values in shaping effective and ethical leadership. The program ended with a group photography session as a memorable close to the event.
