3.0 Summary of the programme
At the beginning of the talk, Dr. Raudlotul Firdaus introduced key themes from her book Titian Akhir Zaman, offering students a sobering reflection on the trials of the end times and the responsibilities of the younger generation. Her message aimed to awaken awareness and spiritual resilience in the face of growing deception and moral decline.
Dr. Raudlotul Firdaus shared alarming insights about deviant teachings that have emerged in recent times, including the so-called “Perjalanan Mimpi Terakhir” and other misguided movements that claim divine authority through dreams or spiritual manipulation. She stressed that these groups often prey on those with weak foundations in religious knowledge. As such, she strongly emphasized the importance of continuous learning and seeking authentic Islamic knowledge to protect oneself from falling into misguidance.
She then talked about the signs of the end times as mentioned in the hadith. One sign she mentioned was the situation where “a mother gives birth to her master,” which shows the breakdown of family values and respect between generations. She also highlighted how materialism has taken over in modern society, with people often putting wealth, fame, and status above spiritual values. Additionally, she pointed out that many people have forgotten the importance of uluhiyyah, which means recognizing Allah’s control and power over everything in our lives. This has caused many to lose touch with the divine guidance that should shape their actions and decisions.
Dr. Raudlotul Firdaus then explained clearly how civilizations in the end times are often built on weak and dangerous foundations. She said that many modern societies focus too much on chasing power, creating arguments and controversies, spreading racism, only thinking about personal gain, and following desires. She warned that all these things show how far people have moved away from the good values and spiritual guidance that should shape a healthy and just society.
Finally, Dr. Raudlotul Firdaus encouraged the students to be an aware and wise generation not just knowing the signs of the end times but understanding their meaning and preparing themselves with strong faith, knowledge, and good character. She emphasized that young people need to be agents of change, guided by the teachings of the Quran and true Islamic principles.
After Dr. Raudlotul Firdaus shared her insights and guidance with us, the students immediately engaged in a Q&A session, asking several thoughtful questions to deepen their understanding of the topics discussed.
In conclusion, Dr. Raudlotul Firdaus’s talk opened the minds and hearts of the students to the realities of the end times, providing relevant guidance for facing these challenging times. With strong knowledge, sincerity, and an open heart, the younger generation can shine as a light in a world full of darkness.
