The Annual Syura Assembly of the Huffaz Leadership Programme (HLP) for the 2026/2027 tenure was successfully held on 13 March 2026 at the Mini Auditorium, Kulliyah of Engineering, IIUM, from 8.30 a.m. to 12.00 p.m., with a total attendance of 41 participants comprising members and staff. The assembly aimed to review the achievements and activities of the 2025/2026 tenure, facilitate the transition of leadership to the new committee, and strengthen engagement within the HLP community.
The programme featured several key highlights, including a multimedia presentation showcasing the accomplishments of the past tenure, followed by an appreciation session and the presentation of special awards to recognise outstanding members. The outgoing Ameer delivered a concluding address before the official handover ceremony to the newly appointed leadership team for the 2026/2027 tenure. The announcement of the new committee members was then conducted, followed by a Bai’ah (Integrity Pledge) ceremony, symbolising their commitment and responsibility in leading the organisation. The session concluded with the presentation of the HLP Almanac and a strategic discussion led by the new leadership regarding the future direction of the programme.
Throughout the previous tenure, HLP successfully organised a wide range of impactful programmes focusing on Islamic leadership development, spiritual growth, and intellectual engagement, which contributed to increased participation and strengthened the programme’s mission.
Overall, the Annual Syura Assembly successfully achieved its objectives and served as an important platform for reflection, recognition, and leadership transition. The programme received positive engagement from participants, and the collective efforts of the organising committee and all parties involved ensured its smooth and meaningful execution.
