Summary of the programme:
The HLP Iftar Jama’ie 2026 was successfully held on 10 March 2026 (20 Ramadan 1447H) at Masjid Zabeedah, ISTAC, IIUM, with 33 students in attendance. The programme aimed to strengthen ukhuwah among members, cultivate spiritual growth during Ramadan, and encourage consistent engagement with the Qur’an. The programme provided participants with the opportunity to gather for collective ibadah and shared iftar in a spiritually enriching environment.
The programme began with the assembly of participants at 3:50 p.m., followed by departure at 4:30 p.m. Participants arrived at ISTAC at approximately 5:00 p.m. and performed the Asr prayer in congregation. A group photo session was held at 5:45 p.m. At 6:00 p.m., a Tahlil session for the late Royal Professor Tan Sri Dr. Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas was conducted by Br. Aziem Khushairi, providing a moment of reflection and remembrance.
This was followed by iftar preparations at 6:30 p.m. Participants then broke their fast together at 7:30 p.m., fostering a strong sense of unity and ukhuwah among attendees. Subsequently, participants performed the Maghrib, Isha’, and Tarawih prayers in congregation, further enhancing the spiritual atmosphere of the programme. The programme concluded with departure back at 10:30 p.m.
Overall, the programme successfully achieved its objectives and received encouraging responses from participants. It served as a meaningful platform for strengthening both spiritual development and ukhuwah among members. Jazakumullahu khayran to everyone involved.
