Summary of the programme:
On 20th December 2025, a leadership talk programme, titled Leaders’ Lounge: Empowering Leadership for Ummah, was successfully conducted for a duration of one hour at the BMS Meeting Room, Kulliyyah of Medicine, IIUM Kuantan. The programme featured Prof. Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Hafiz bin Zulkifly as the invited speaker and focused on empowering the ummah through principled, ethical, and impactful leadership. A total of 19 participants attended the session, comprising 14 members of the Huffaz Leadership Programme and 4 staff members of the Huffaz Leadership Programme. The programme aimed to cultivate leadership awareness among participants by emphasizing values-based leadership grounded in Islamic principles, responsibility, and service.
The programme was conducted in an engaging and dynamic manner, making the one-hour session both exciting and highly meaningful. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Hafiz delivered the talk with clarity and depth, integrating leadership theories with real-life examples and contemporary issues faced by the ummah. The input shared was concise yet impactful, highlighting key leadership qualities such as integrity, accountability, vision, and the importance of empowering others rather than exercising authority alone. Participants remained attentive and actively engaged throughout the session, as the speaker encouraged reflection and critical thinking. Despite the limited duration, the content delivered was substantial and thought-provoking, leaving participants intellectually enriched and spiritually inspired.
Overall, the feedback received from participants was very positive and encouraging. Participants expressed appreciation for the relevance, clarity, and depth of the content delivered, noting that the talk enhanced their understanding of leadership roles within both organizational and community contexts. The involvement of both HLP members and HLP staff further enriched the programme by fostering shared perspectives and collaborative learning.
In conclusion, this programme successfully achieved its objectives and demonstrated the value of structured leadership development initiatives under the Huffaz Leadership Programme. Jazakumullahu khayran to everyone involved!
