The Annual Syura Assembly of the Huffaz Madani Leadership Program (HMLP) was held on March 6, 2025, at the Banquet Room, Kulliyah of Engineering.
The objevtives of this assembly were:
- To review achievements and programs conducted in the 24/25 tenure
- To discuss the future direction and restructurin of HMLP
- To Appoint the new leadership for the 25/26 tenure

1.1 Structural & Identity Changes in HMLP
- The Annual Grand Meeting has been renamed to Annual Syura Assembly.
- The organization is now officially Huffaz Madani Leadership Program (HMLP) instead of Huffaz Sejahtera Leadership Program (HSLP).
- The Deputy Director of SDCE proposed this change as the word “Sejahtera” originates from Sanskrit, whereas “Madani” reflects a stronger Islamic identity.
- HMLP recognized as a structured co-curricular body, similar to SUKSIS, SISPA, and PALAPES, rather than just a student club.

These programs successfully increased member engagement and reinforced HMLP’s mission of fostering Islamic leadership and development.
1.3 Keynote Speech by the Head of HMLP (Prof. Dr. Fadzlin)
Responsibilities as a Murabbi (Mentor/Guide):
- Leadership is not just about holding a position but about conveying da’wah and leading by example.
- Every HMLP member must see themselves as a Murabbi, not just as event participants.
- Renewing intentions (Tajdid Niyyah) is crucial, members must not seek recognition or personal gains.
- HMLP is not just about Quran memorization but also about applying and spreading Islamic values in daily life.

In conclusion, the Annual Syura Assembly 2025 marked a significant milestone for the Huffaz Madani Leadership Program (HMLP), solidifying its Islamic identity and strategic direction following the shift from HSLP to HMLP. The impactful programs conducted during the 24/25 tenure successfully fostered leadership excellence and Islamic values among members, setting a strong foundation for the future. With the introduction of the new leadership team for the 25/26 tenure, HMLP is poised to reach greater heights in its mission. The assembly officially concluded at 7:38 p.m. with the recitation of Surah Al-Asr and Tasbih Kaffarah, followed by a meaningful gathering for Iftar Jama’ie and congregational Maghrib prayer, reinforcing the spirit of unity and brotherhood within the organization.
